Deleting your DayMarshal account
Last updated: 13 August 2026
You can delete your DayMarshal account at any time, from inside the apps or from the web. Deletion is permanent — this page explains exactly what it removes, what happens to workspaces you share with other people, and how to do it.
This page is public on purpose. If you have already uninstalled the app, you can still read it and still delete your account.
How to delete your account
In the iPhone or Android app: open Settings, scroll to the bottom, and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm with your password, or by typing DELETE if you signed in with Google or Apple and so never set one.
On the web: sign in at daymarshal.com, open your Profile, and use Delete Account at the bottom of the page.
Both routes do the same thing. There is no waiting period and no need to contact us first.
What is deleted
Your account and the content attached to it are removed: your profile, your meetings and their recordings, transcripts and translations, meeting outcomes, tasks and their attachments, digests and briefs, and any personal workspace that only you belong to.
Temporary in-person audio is already deleted after transcription as a matter of course, so in most cases there is no recording left to remove by the time you delete your account.
Workspaces you share with other people
If you own a workspace that other members belong to, that workspace is not deleted. Their meetings, tasks, and notes are their work too, and one person leaving should not destroy it. Ownership passes to the longest-standing remaining member, preferring an existing owner or administrator, and the workspace carries on without you.
The app tells you which workspaces will change hands before you confirm, so this is never a surprise.
A workspace that only you belong to is deleted along with your account.
What is kept, and why
Records we are required to keep are retained after deletion: billing and tax records held by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the period their obligations require. Where an action you took is part of another member's history — for example that a decision was confirmed, or a task was handed over — the fact and the name recorded at the time remain in that workspace's activity log, so the remaining members' records stay intelligible.
Nothing retained is used to contact you or to rebuild your account.
If you have a paid subscription
Cancel your subscription before deleting your account, from the Subscription page. Deleting the account does not itself cancel billing arranged through Apple, Google, or Paddle. Cancelling keeps your Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for; see our refund policy.
If something goes wrong
If you cannot access your account to delete it — a lost password on an account with no recovery email, for instance — write to support@daymarshal.com from the address on the account and we will help you complete it.
