Google data connection guide

Gmail and Google Calendar connections are optional and personal. A connection belongs to the DayMarshal member who authorizes it, even inside a shared workspace. DayMarshal shows a separate data-use disclosure immediately before sending you to Google, and Google then asks you to approve the listed scopes.

Temporary access while Google verification is pending

DayMarshal’s Google OAuth verification is not complete. Google may show an “unverified app” warning. Continue only when you started from https://daymarshal.com, the consent screen identifies DayMarshal, and the requested read-only permissions match the disclosure shown inside DayMarshal.

Temporary eligibility for Gmail and Google Calendar: until Google verification is complete, DayMarshal permits new Gmail and Google Calendar connections only for members with an active Pro trial, paid Pro subscription, or complimentary Pro access. This keeps the unverified early-access group controlled and helps fund the remaining security and verification work. Existing connections continue to work if Pro access later ends, but a disconnected account cannot be connected again without eligible Pro access while this restriction remains.

The current project is published externally but remains unverified. Google applies a lifetime cap of 100 new users to apps that present the unverified-app screen. Once that cap is reached, additional clients cannot connect until Google approves the requested scopes.

Connection steps for the client

1. Sign in at daymarshal.com/login and open Integrations. To connect Gmail during this temporary period, confirm that the Subscription page shows an active Pro trial, paid Pro, or complimentary Pro.
2. Select Connect Gmail or Connect Google Calendar.
3. Read DayMarshal’s data-use disclosure, select the acknowledgment checkbox, and choose Continue to Google.
4. Choose the Google Account you intend to connect.
5. If Google displays Google hasn’t verified this app, review the warning. To proceed, select Advanced, then select Go to DayMarshal (unsafe). Google uses “unsafe” for apps whose verification is incomplete; it does not mean you should ignore unexpected domains, app names, or permissions.
6. Review Google’s permission list. DayMarshal should request only identity information plus read-only Gmail or Calendar access. Select Continue or Allow only if the permissions match.
7. Google returns you to DayMarshal. Open Integrations and confirm the account shows as Connected.

Stop and contact support@daymarshal.com if Google shows a different application name, an unfamiliar domain, write/delete permissions, access_denied, admin_policy_enforced, or “Sign in with Google temporarily disabled.” A Google Workspace administrator may also block unverified third-party apps.

DayMarshal is an independently developed early-access product. If it helps you, a Pro subscription helps fund ongoing development, security work, and verification. A subscription does not change Google’s warning, bypass Google’s limits, or guarantee approval.

Connect and use Gmail

1. Sign in to DayMarshal and open Integrations.
2. Select Connect Gmail, review the Gmail data-use disclosure, affirm your consent, and continue to Google.
3. Choose the Google account and approve openid, your primary email address, and gmail.readonly.
4. DayMarshal synchronizes read-only mailbox content. Free members can read retained messages, search them, download attachments on demand, and create tasks manually. Eligible intelligence plans can additionally analyze messages using OpenAI.

DayMarshal cannot send, delete, archive, label, mark, or otherwise modify Gmail. It does not request Google Drive access.

Connect and use Google Calendar

1. Open Integrations and select Connect Google Calendar.
2. Review the Calendar data-use disclosure, affirm your consent, and continue to Google.
3. Approve openid, your primary email address, calendar.calendarlist.readonly, and calendar.events.readonly.
4. Return to Integrations and choose which calendars appear in your unified DayMarshal calendar.

DayMarshal cannot create, edit, delete, accept, or decline Google events. Connecting Calendar does not make a notetaker join automatically; you must explicitly send a visible notetaker to a specific meeting.

AI processing and training

Calendar event data is not sent to OpenAI to render the calendar. Free Gmail synchronization does not invoke OpenAI. When eligible email intelligence is active, DayMarshal sends a bounded portion of a message plus limited header context to OpenAI to generate the result requested in DayMarshal. OpenAI API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default; default abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days unless an approved stricter data-control arrangement applies. DayMarshal does not use Google user data to train its own or any general-purpose model.

Disconnect and delete Google data

1. Open Integrations.
2. Use Disconnect on the Gmail or Google Calendar connection you want to remove.
3. DayMarshal deletes that connection's OAuth tokens and retained provider data. Disconnecting Gmail removes its synchronized messages and analysis. Disconnecting Calendar removes its calendar selections; meeting records already created remain.
4. You may also revoke DayMarshal from your Google Account permissions. To close your DayMarshal account or request a data copy, email privacy@daymarshal.com.
